Guna ŠNĒ
In memories of others still as Guna Āboltiņa, spent much of her early life in a small town near the Lithuanian border, living peacefully and breathing lots of fresh air.
Thanks to a whole series of nice teachers in Latvia and Germany, she has tried (and still tries) to learn something about the cello. After wandering the world together with youth and not-so-youth ensembles, Guna came to her senses and joined the Sinfonietta Rīga chamber orchestra as a solo cellist in 2010. It turned out to be a pretty nice ensemble with a wealth of colourful musical adventures.
She is trying to find a balance between the life`s orders and disorders, it`s being with children, cello, music, rehearsing, cooking, reading books, being in nature and at playgrounds, and at some joyful moments – being with oneself, that holds it all together. Guna learns not to be carried away and to find wisdom at the happy medium between extremes. Sometimes she succeeds. But only due to wonderful family and colleagues, who don`t stop to inspire, thrill and regenerate with love.
She dreams about having a dog and a house in the woods.
